ACCESS Testing

Welcome back from our "snow" day!

Classes are currently not meeting as I am testing my ESOL students using the ACCESS test, a test that is given yearly to assess their English proficiency. I am hoping to begin pulling students again next Friday, February 8 if all goes according to my new schedule.

When we return to our classes, Kindergarten will continue to work on Reading, sight words, and rhyming. 1st grade will be pulled into differentiated groups based on reading levels and 2nd grade will continue to work on opinion writing. READ 180 & System 44 will finish our 3rd reading on our workshop about Mummies. We've been enjoying (and some of us have been disgusted) our readings about how the bodies were preserved. There have been great conversations happening about whether or not we would like to be a mummy maker or not.

I look forward to getting our students through this testing period and teaching them once again.
